CYPRUS - Turkish Republic Of Northern Cyprus
Cyprus is situated in the north-eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea, 33° east and 35° north of the Equator, 105km west of Syria, 380km north of Egypt and 380km east of Rhodes, 75km south of Turkiye. It is the third largest island in the Mediterranean after Sicily and Sardinia, with an area of 9.251 sq km.
The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus covers the north shore and part of the eastern coast of the island of Cyprus. With life enhancing sunshine in abundance, a shoreline curving round its preety bays and golden , sandy beaches, valleys full of scented pines, orange and lemon groves, and the olive and the carob tree, and last but not least, its flower-filled gardens, Cyprus is ideally suited to tourism. A favourable climate which promotes health and energy perfects this bounty. Lovers of history and archeology can view 9000 years of the past through a wealth of historic sites and monuments.
